Football

I confess. I enjoy watching football. (That's "soccer" for the benefit of any Americans, Aussies or Kiwis reading this.) I probably watch too much of it. But not as much as I used to. When I go to conferences and on other kinds of foreign trips, I often try to find a match to watch, so I have experienced the Danish 2nd division, the Turkish 3rd division, and even the Oberliga Baden-Wurttemberg!

But the first football match I attended was at Jubilee Park, Waterlooville and for many years I followed Waterlooville F.C. in the Southern League. Until in 1997 they merged with local rivals Havant Town to form Havant and Waterlooville. Since moving to Colchester I have adopted Colchester United as my team and attend as many games as I can.
